Infinity Stars Project

This was my biggest landscape art project ever. Landscape art can be quite short-lived and is a good reminder that nothing lasts forever and that sometimes we need to relax and let go.

I’ve always been a huge fan of Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s work, which is why in 2008 I chose to dedicate my final assignment of my Art & Design class to them.

I started off by outlining the star shapes with strings and then I got to work with the lawnmower. I used scissors to get nice and clean edges. This whole process took me 1.5 weeks and I had to go over some of the stars again because the grass had grown a lot in the meantime.

These photos were taken in times where no one had a drone yet. But thanks to my dad and a friend of him I could fly over in an ultra lightweight airplane to get some really nice shots to share with you.

I hope you enjoy them and remember: nothing lasts forever!
