Me & my art

I mainly do pop art and splash art paintings. I mostly use acrylic paint on linen canvas. My signature technique is to create splashes by exploding paint-filled balloons on the canvas which gives a very unique structure. In addition I paint various comic characters and for writing or brand logos I make stencils that I use to create very clean elements using spray paint.

I love painting because I can control the outcome and send messages through my work. Maybe I can even give people some food for thought or just create something that I find visually pleasing. Also I am happy if people like my work. If you are happy, I am happy.

As you can see, I like to take my paintings out into the urban environment in my beautiful hometown, Munich. Basically I just take the painting on a “Munich Art Walk” as I call it, to take photos in natural lighting which is just so much better than inside my Gallery, plus it’s always a lot of fun. I really like to show my paintings in contrast with the urban environment and you will notice some Munich landmarks in my photos. Check out this entry to look at some of the pictures I took there.
